Adam G. Cross
Mr. Cross graduated from Auburn University in 2000 and the Birmingham School of Law in 2006. While attending the Birmingham School of Law, Mr. Cross served as a law clerk for the firm.
While working as a law clerk he was particularly instrumental in the preparation of Terry v. YMCA of the Shoals, CV 2003-288, Circuit Court of Lauderdale County, Alabama. The Terry case involved the tragic drowning death of a five year old boy who was attending a Vacation Day Camp at the YMCA of the Shoals. Plaintiffs contended that the child drowned as a result of negligence by the YMCA’s aquatic and childcare staffs. The YMCA contended that the child’s death was an unavoidable accident. A Lauderdale County jury awarded the plaintiffs $2,500,000.00 when the case was tried. The verdict was the second largest jury verdict in the history of Lauderdale County.
