Cumberland School of Law, coached by Tuscaloosa Circuit Judge Jim Roberts, swept Region 8 and advanced to the national competition.

The cases involved several car accidents that occurred in Tuscaloosa, St. Clair and Cullman Counties in Alabama, Putnam County, Tennessee, Lowndes County, Mississippi and St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana.
