Do Any Special Rules Apply to Large Trucks or 18 Wheelers?

Video Transcription:

Certain rules are applicable to injury cases involving 18 wheelers or truck accidents, large truck accident cases. Under the law in our country, the US Government has imposed certain federal regulations that govern interstate truckers, meaning trucking companies that travel across state lines.

And these federal regulations govern these trucking companies, no matter where they are in the country, and also govern them in Tuscaloosa and elsewhere in Alabama. Those special rules are often very helpful in prosecuting an 18 wheeler injury accident case, or a large trucking accident case. The reason for that is the federal regulations contain very specific detailed rules and regulations that govern the proper and safe operation, not only operation of the tractor itself, but govern the operation and the maintenance of a trailer or the load being carried, the cargo being carried, to ensure that the traveling public, traveling alongside these large trucks and 18 wheelers are put in a safe a position as they can possibly be. And part of our job is to make sure those regulations have been complied with when there’s been an accident.
